For every order shipped, The World of Indah plants one native tree in Bali's central highlands, in partnership with local reforestation cooperatives working to restore the island's eroded ridges. Since inception the pact has put over twelve thousand trees in the ground — beringin, mahoni, jati — each species chosen for its ability to hold soil during monsoon. Buyers receive a card with the planting coordinates; the piece and the tree share a serial number.
