The story
Q.Lavine is a Greek accessories house built on a single gesture: painting by hand. Authentic Panama hats in paja toquilla, structured hats, bags, envelope clutches, shoes and jackets are each hand-painted, so a motif — an eye, a bee, a bird of paradise — arrives on the piece rather than on a print run. Sizes and ribbons are specified piece by piece, and the same motif is offered across a range of colourways.
Founder
Kalliopi Soulioti
Q.Lavine's journey began in a French park, La Lavine, where Kalliopi Soulioti painted the house's very first hat. Replacing "La" with "Q" — for quality — gave the brand its name. Each design is created from scratch and is unique.
Craftsmanship
Hats are built on paja toquilla or carton, hand-painted, then finished with a grosgrain ribbon and an inner band; care is deliberately simple — a fresh cloth. Panama silhouettes are offered in S to XL, structured hats in 57, 59 and 61.
Sustainability
Natural materials only — 100% Ecuadorian toquilla straw, Madagascar raffia and paper straw — painted by hand piece by piece, so nothing is mass-printed and nothing is overproduced.
